New Year's Eve
Release Ritual Gathering
10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
What is a New Year’s Eve Release Ritual?
The Release Ritual also known as the “Letting-Go Ritual” is the process of letting go of (releasing) whatever is holding you back, things that no longer serve you, people who hinder and hurt you, bad habits, negative thoughts, and anything else that you do not want to carry into the new year.
At Mariposa’s Place of Wellness, the ritual begins by identifying the things that you do not want to carry into 2025; write them down, and then burn them. This process also aids in clearing out or decluttering the things that are weighing heavy both mentally and spiritually. The next step is to reflect on what gives you joy, peace, and happiness. Then creating expressions of gratitude through art, poetry, or other means.
The third step will open your heart and mind to attract the positive possibilities in the new year through affirmations, breathwork, and meditation.
The ritual will end by eating black-eyed peas and collard greens (with a side of cornbread) for good luck in the new year!
Registration: $10 per person
